It’s almost that time of year again! Personally, this season always brings back memories of a heartwarming tradition that began more than a decade ago: Christmas Mini Sessions.
The story behind my Christmas Minishoots isn’t just about creating beautiful holiday photos. But it’s about using my work to make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
My motivation to start Christmas Minis came from my own connection to the foster care system. Don’t forget, each photo shoot will:
- Gift Christmas to children in foster care
- Cover school lunch accounts for kids in need
- Support parents going through tough times
This time of year reminds me of a childhood filled with simplicity rather than abundance.
These pictures are about resilience, gratitude, and the desire to give back to the community. Now, as a mom and business owner in a very different chapter of life, I’m thankful to use my photography to help others during the holidays.

Last year, we raised just under $3,000, and several families went above and beyond with additional donations that allowed us to help even more people.
With a new list of wishes from KVC in hand, I’m already preparing for this year’s phase — shopping for gifts that will light up children’s faces across our community.
