Little Lyla’s petite newborn session was a fun mix of both colors that went with her nursery as well as neutrals. Both of which produce timeless, forever photos. Which is my goal!
I often get asked if it’s ok for parents to bring their own “props” to the session. That answer is yes! but often times what we find is that the newborn outfits you buy in stores specifically for photos don’t fit the way they should. And remember, our goal is to produce timeless photos that will never go out of style. Ones that you will never look back on and say “Why did I put her in that for pictures?!” Bringing something like a bucket that you’ve had forever, a blanket that has meaning or a string of your grandmas pearls? Yes! Do that!
I always ask if you have any colors you would like used or avoided in the session. Please don’t be scared to speak up and let me know what you like! These are YOUR photos!
And when your newborn smiles during her session…That’s an added bonus! (But not guaranteed.) 🙂
I just started photographing every newborn that comes through the studio on white at some point during the session. Because, look how pure and perfect these ‘nothing but baby’ photos are!
Lastly, We can’t forget those details shots!!
